What These Stats Mean
Offensive Rating (ORtg)

Points scored per 100 possessions. Higher values indicate a more efficient offence.

Defensive Rating (DRtg)

Points allowed per 100 possessions. Lower values indicate a stronger defence.

Net Rating

The difference between Offensive Rating and Defensive Rating. Positive teams generally outscore opponents over time.

Pace

The estimated number of possessions per game. Higher values indicate a faster style of play.

True Shooting % (TS%)

Measures overall scoring efficiency by accounting for field goals, three-pointers and free throws.

Effective Field Goal % (eFG%)

Adjusts field goal percentage to give extra value to made three-pointers.

AST / FGM

The share of made baskets that were assisted. Higher values usually indicate better ball movement.

AST / TO

Compares assists to turnovers. Higher numbers indicate better decision-making and ball security.

Turnover % (TOV%)

The percentage of possessions that end in a turnover. Lower values are better.

Offensive Rebound % (OREB%)

How often a team recovers its own missed shots and earns another scoring opportunity.

Rebound Differential

Average rebound margin compared with opponents. Positive numbers indicate control of the glass.

3PA Rate

The proportion of field goal attempts taken from three-point range. Higher values indicate a perimeter-focused offence.

Free Throw Rate

How often a team reaches the free throw line relative to its field goal attempts.

Stocks

Combined steals and blocks per game. A quick measure of defensive playmaking.

Expected Wins (xW)

An estimate of how many games a team should have won based on its scoring margin rather than its actual record.

W − xW

Compares actual wins with expected wins. Positive values indicate overperformance, while negative values indicate underperformance.
